In Module 4 we cover forward and back bending poses. The anatomy and physiology of the spine is discussed in context of back health and heart opening. The fourth Chakra, Anahata, meaning unhurt or unstuck in Sanskrit (Unconditional Love) is explored in the context of theming classes and creating space for emotional healing and empathy. We also delve into the energetic anatomy of the subtle body and finding an authentic and personal voice as a yoga practitioner and/or instructor. Yoga ethics and yoga as service is discussed as we explore the deep bonds with other beings, compassion, altruism, generosity and kindness. The curriculum includes: Group Asana Practice, Multi-media Lecture, Group Discussion, Journaling, Practice Teaching, Assisting, Adjusting and Sequencing for forward and back bending poses.
