Liz Owen, E-RYT500, C-IAYT is an inspiring and passionate yoga teacher and therapist. She joins the teacher training faculty from Boston Massachusetts where she resides currently. She combines physical and energetic alignments with meditative action to create an innovative and transformative yoga experience. She has taught since 1990 and is known for her light-hearted teaching style as well as for the depth of her knowledge. Liz has studied various methods of classical hatha yoga and meditation for over 30 years with masters of many traditions. She is co-author Yoga for a Healthy Lower Back (Shambhala Publications) and of two NIH-funded studies at Boston University School of Medicine studying yoga as a healing modality for depression and anxiety. This study has been published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, March 2017, with impressive results. Liz presents her work in the U.S. and internationally, and she especially loves working with yoga teachers in training.
