Facing True North: Immerse Yourself in Standing Poses

Module 1 acquaints participants with the Pineapple Yoga Teaching Training Program, the curriculum and expectations. We discuss standing & balancing poses, adjusting & assisting, the anatomy & physiology of the feet, yoga ethics, and an introduction to special yoga populations. We begin our exploration of the subtle body with the first root Chakra (Muladhara) symbolized by a lotus with four petals and the color red. The curriculum includes: Group Asana Practice, Multi-media Lecture, Group Discussion, Journaling, Practice Teaching, Assisting, Adjusting and Sequencing for standing/balancing poses, and the practice of Sun Salutations A + B.
