Yin Yoga for Stress

TIPS

Yin yoga is a practice in stillness, patience and non-reactivity. It is a great practice to counteract the effects of stress in our daily lives. What happens inside your body during a Yin practice is even more remarkable. Yin yoga is a great way to ensure mobility between the connective tissues of the body ensuring healthy range of motion–lessening adhesions which restrict movement. Through slow asana poses which are held for up to 3 minutes, the muscles and fascia lengthen which promotes healing, restoration and hydration. In this practice the postures are held for periods that require you to tune into your breath and to notice sensations within your muscles, tissues and organs.
