Why Yoga is Key for Injury Free Cycling

If you haven’t read, The Athlete’s Guide to Yoga, it is a great read explaining the benefits of yoga for the athlete. This book was written by Sage Roundtree, who is both a cyclist and a Level 3 coach. It is her belief that yoga is an essential part of staying injury free as a cyclist and athlete. The core, back and upper body are key areas for the cyclist that are underdeveloped and yoga offers a strength building remedy for these areas of the body. Added flexibility, focus, and balance offer additional injury prevention benefits which aid the recreational and competitive cyclist alike.
