One Legged King Pigeon Pose

Eka Pada Rajakapotasana ~ This pose is suitable for experienced practitioners and can be accessed from a one-legged down dog. This is a great pose to lengthen the thighs, groins, psoas, abdomen, chest, and shoulders. It also stimulates the abdominal organs and opens-up the shoulders and chest. To safely modify this pose for more comfort, place a folded blanket under the buttock (folded knee side) to lift the hip higher. Contraindications include sacroiliac, ankle, knee injuries or very tight hips/thighs.
